AFI Fest 2008 will present tributes to director Danny Boyle and Academy Award-winning actress Tilda Swinton at ArcLight Hollywood next month.
A screening of Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire" will follow his tribute, and an hour of film clips and a Q&A and will accompany Swinton's tribute. The complete schedule for the 22nd annual AFI Fest is available here, and features works from filmmakers in Uganda, Kazakhstan and more. "This year's selection of international films shows a commitment to cinematic innovation and a renewal of a tradition of realism in cinema. This sometimes takes the form of dealing with urgent topical issues and sometimes takes the form of expanding the nature of and sense of cinematic form," Artistic Director Rose Kuo said in a statement.
